First Ten- Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel

Despite having three JRPG franchises published in the west, Nagano-based developer Gust occasionally gets overlooked. Yet this Wednesday, when the Reyvateils return for their third series outing in Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel, ignoring the series may be an impossibility. If the transition to a next-gen console or movement into 3D hasn’t caught your ear, listen up. The game earned a Mature rating from the ESRB, for “power moves cause female characters’ clothes to vanish in layers.”

While we won’t reveal you all the deliciously naughty bits (like where that magic crystal is hidden) we will show you the first ten minutes of the game, which show a battle with one strong woman. Expect a full review of Aoto’s escapades later in the week.

  1. Oh, Deagle and his wacky JRPGs. Sill, I like the idea of videos for not-released games.

  2. I’m looking forward to this. I just played through Melody of Elemia to get ready for this.

  3. I’m still pissed at NIS for never fixing that freezing glitch in Melody of Metafalica. See if they get my money.

  4. Hit detection with the ‘maiden’ seems off. You were clearly beyond ‘her’ reach when he took off HP.

  5. I’ll be honest, most of gust games are just ok, they are better storytellers than they are programmers.
