First Ten- Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel
Despite having three JRPG franchises published in the west, Nagano-based developer Gust occasionally gets overlooked. Yet this Wednesday, when the Reyvateils return for their third series outing in Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel, ignoring the series may be an impossibility. If the transition to a next-gen console or movement into 3D hasn’t caught your ear, listen up. The game earned a Mature rating from the ESRB, for “power moves cause female characters’ clothes to vanish in layers.”
While we won’t reveal you all the deliciously naughty bits (like where that magic crystal is hidden) we will show you the first ten minutes of the game, which show a battle with one strong woman. Expect a full review of Aoto’s escapades later in the week.
That music is pretty awful, sounds like a bunch of cats in heat.
I cant really read the text in the video, it looks a bit blurry.
typically NIS game, too much talk, boring action.
I like that I’m seeing more videos on the site.
No Deagle narration? WTF?
why is “tonelico” lower case?
wow, I hope the nest 10 minutes get better. I almost fell asleep there.
Weird, very weird. I see Japan hasn’t changed at all.
Oh, Deagle and his wacky JRPGs. Sill, I like the idea of videos for not-released games.
seriously. looks bad. really bad. The high point was the word “asshole”, huh?
Yeah, I was expecting better for a game that centers on music.
I’m looking forward to this. I just played through Melody of Elemia to get ready for this.
I’m still pissed at NIS for never fixing that freezing glitch in Melody of Metafalica. See if they get my money.
For all the people sick of JRPG guys that looks like women, I guess.
Hit detection with the ‘maiden’ seems off. You were clearly beyond ‘her’ reach when he took off HP.
Oh but it has sadly.
Next stop for NIS and Deagle? Hentei !
I’ll be honest, most of gust games are just ok, they are better storytellers than they are programmers.
Let’s hope that magic crystal isn’t someplace dark and stinky.
Thanks for posting- looks quirky!
vanishing clothes FTW
Let’s just hope their aren’t on ‘manly’ girls.
Hopefully well get a video review!
I wonder if NIS thinks a M rating will sell better.
That’s the way they write it.
I’ll probably get this after launch. It looks cool, but not $60 cool.
I can think of at least two locations that would fit that description.
How nasty does it get? The video was pretty tame!
I want more First Looks!
More videos would be appreciated.
