Robert’s Pick: Save for the pool of Gameboy Advance Games offered to Ambassadors, GBA titles haven’t been made available for the 3DS. This pains me, as I’d gladly hand over my money to play Advance Wars, Drill Dozer, Metroid: Zero Mission, as well at the two Golden Sun games on my New 3DS. As such, I’ll have to suffice with Golden Sun: The Lost Age’s appearance on the Wii U. While I might be sacrificing portability, as least Nintendo’s emulation is spot on, offering a wealth of options, from pixel smoothing to customizable controls. In all, it’s even better that we attached a Game Boy Player to the bottom of our GameCubes.

Golden Sun The Lost Age
Gonçalo’s Pick: Perhaps my greatest regret during the heyday of Nintendo’s 32-bit handheld was not picking Golden Sun: The Lost Age. The first entry in this series set a standard for handheld JRPGs few could compete with despite its short length. Now at least, this improved sequel is available for Wii-U owners who for some reason or another missed an amazing classic.

    1. Me neither. But you know what? If I go to Steam and look around, I’ll want at least two of them.

  1. I’m hoping you review Japanese Rail Sim 3D Journey to Kyoto. Your Narita review was pretty good.

  2. I’m a little surprised that The Lost Age would have Buddha-sprites. Wasn’t that released when Nintendo didn’t like religious stuff in games?

    1. Nah, Golden Age was an early 2000s release. Nintendo stopped being the content police in the mid-nineties.

    1. In the original version of Metroid Prime 3, Admiral Dane says “Damn”.

In the Trilogy verison he says “Noooo”.

      Content Police Regroup!

  3. So so GoW Ultimate says (taken from Amazon):

Includes access to the entire Xbox 360 Gears of War collection to play on Xbox One at no additional cost if you play Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox Live before 12/31/2015.

You think I can redbox it, play it on live and get access to the collection?

  4. I loved the last Xblaze, but I’m going to have to wait for reviews for Lost: Memories before committing.

  5. Best of Arcade Games – Brick Breaker

Knockoff Breakout for $10? That’s why Nintendo’s in 3rd place.

  6. Seems like more Japanese games are coming out there days, or at least that’s what you’re focusing on here.
