New Releases 10/25-10/31: By the Numbers Edition

It’s time to test your intellect! We’ll issue a code for a Xbox 360 game to the first person who comes up with the correct answer to our enigma. First, multiply the total number of games on our release list by the number of mini-games found in Atlus’ upcoming Wii release. Then, subtract 10 for every instance of Ben 10 on the list. Now, add in any numbers found in the titles of this week’s Xbox 360 releases. Finally, subtract 20 for each instance of ‘Z’ found in the PSP release list, to calculate your answer.

DesertEagle’s Pick: As a long time fan of the series, I’m eagerly anticipating the next installment of Ratchet & Clank. While previous iterations slowed a bit when the little robot was on-screen, Clank’s time-manipulating ability feels surprisingly fun.

TideGear’s Pick: I’ve seen nothing of Adventures to Go since E3 ’09. I had to Google it to remember what it is. That said, being a fan of Rogue-recreations, I love the phrase “randomly generated dungeons”. Combine that with”SRPG” and I’m quite interested!

SeanNOLA’s Pick: I have never found myself enjoying any of the games in the music franchise, but ever since playing the demo at my local game shop,
can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of DJ Hero.  Adventures to Go was one of my
secret favorite games of E3.  I only got to play it for a moment, while DesertEagle and TideGear were distracted by Squishy Tanks, but what I played was
addictive.  Let’s hope the retail version stands up to the 5 minute
demo.

  1. I got -52!!!

I still need to get Borderlands.

I might get Gay Tony. The game, people, the game.

  2. Forgot the numbers. It’s too early, and I suck at math.

I want DJ hero, but I’m not spending $120 to play it. I’ll wait for a price drop.

  3. -48 is the answer.

I might get the whole Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City disk to save room on the HD.

  4. Dj hero is more lame than game. Good luck selling that one.

Atelier Annie: Alchemist of Sera Island, if it get a good score. You’ve reviewing it, right DE?

  5. No idea on the question. Has Jigsaw taken over the New Releases?

Tekken 6 and R&C for me.

  6. At least you got the names right. Shacknews has “The Ballad of Gay TOY” as a new release. Singing dildos FTW!

  7. Ive heard Fairytale Fights isn’t too good, but the idea of being a little ginger girl and beating the life out of people is somewhat appealing.

  8. Because it will still still well. Expect an Ice Age Racerz as well.

Kids must love the letter Z.

  9. Is SeanNOLA still calculating the problem? LOL.

I’m thinking about Tekken. Its wait for a few more review.

  10. The answer to the enigma is 7049.

And nice releases this week! I’m really looking forward to DJ Hero and am somewhat interested in both GTA Episodes.

  11. Congrats, Cleaner7 got the answer correct!

    71 game x 101 mini-games – (10×5) + 28 – (20×5)=7049

  12. I might TRY DJ Hero, but unless a copy falls out of the sky, I’m not going to keep a copy.

  13. Nice! I checked my answer a few times to make sure I had it and then I searched to see if anyone else posted it which they didn’t. Looking forward to an email with the code! 🙂

  14. Cleaner7: Look for a Han Tao code later on tonight.

RogerDodger: I’ll be sending you a Gears 2 Theme code as well.
