New Releases 5/2-5/8: Repulsor Ready Edition

Iron Man 2

This week’s releases present gamers with some ‘Stark’ choices. With Iron Man 2 being one of the few disk-based diversions, a majority of the other new games are either downloadable titles, or cartridges with a single limitation- a feeble internal battery for a heart. Kind of like that famous superhero/defense industry mogul.

What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord?! 2

DesertEagle’s Pick: During the past few weeks, I’ve neglected my portables. This will be remedied over the next few days. I’ve already dug into What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord?! 2– while it doesn’t veer wildly from its predecessor, it’s still an amazingly amusing time-killer. After previewing Dementium II , I’m ready for the final build- bring it on!

TideGear’s Pick: This is a great week. We’ve got Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition, (I dug the PC version),
RayStorm HD, and What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord?! 2. Judging from how much I enjoyed the original, My Lord?! 2 is definitely my pick.

SeanNOLA’s Pick: Over the past two years, I’ve considered starting a swan-song
collection; that is to say, a collection of games released after or
immediately before a studio closes down.  Secret Level’s final title, Iron
Man 2
, could sit right alongside The Saboteur and Halo
Wars
in that collection.  I don’t have particularly high hopes for
the game, considering the studio is survived by the first Iron Man
game and Golden Axe: Beast Rider, but in the back of my mind, I
would like to imagine that they put their best foot forward on their
final production and churned out a solid release.

Robert Allen

Since being a toddler, Robert Allen has been immersed in video games, anime, and tokusatsu. Currently, his days are spent teaching at two southern California colleges. But his evenings and weekends are filled with STGs, RPGs, and action titles and well at writing for Tech-Gaming since 2007.

  1. Are you guys going to review Iron Man 2? Hope so, cause I haven’t seen much on it.

  2. Whats Monster Racers? At first I thought it said, “Mod Racers”, but I realized that will never come out for the DS.

  3. Fat Princess got boring pretty quick, I dont see how it will work on the PSP, where you may not be near wi-fi all the time.

  4. Yeah, MP games on the PSP are a pretty curious idea. I hope they don’t expect massive numbers.

  5. Nothing says happy mother’s day like a download of Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition!

Here ya go Mom, now punch the life out of that guy!

  6. I’ll be getting What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord?! 2 (and I guess 1)

  7. I’m thinking Deagle writes these in the middle of the night. They’ll come later.

  8. I bought my mom a copy of a puzzle game once. It was what she asked for.

  9. Man, that Iron Man 2 screenshot looks awful. Looks at the those textures- right out of a 2001 Gamecube game.

  10. I was hoping you guys would review SSF4. I’ll probably get that this week.

  11. Nah, I’m just more of a lurker than a commenter. I’ve been using this name for years 😉

  12. My pick of the week is “Dance Sensation!” cause I like to get my boogie on almost as much as I like to hunt monsters.

  13. Now if only someone could mix the two together. Monster Boogie? Moster Dancer? We have something here, I just know it!

  14. @NOLA, Secret Levels resume is pretty unimpressive:

Golden Axe:Beast Rider, Golden Axe, Iron Man, America’s Army: Rise of a Soldier, Karaoke Revolution, Magic: The Gathering:Battlegrounds, Star Wars: Starfighter.

Wow. At least Pandemic made a few good games.

  15. Thanks for posting the DS and Wiiware stuff. Most other site don’t do that!

  16. I forgot the Halo Wars developer got broken up. I liked Ensemble.
