DesertEagle’s Pick: Two titles are garnering my attention this week. Dawn of Discovery will likely satisfy cerebral needs, with a historically inspired RTS evolved from the wonderful Anno series. The Conduit on the other hand, should fulfill any requirements for single and multiplayer FPS action, and looks to establish itself as the new apex of technical achievement on Nintendo’s console.

TideGear’s Pick: I really want to pick
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite but unless they added a decent camera system, I just can’t handle it. Don’t disappoint me, Capcom! My pick this week is The Conduit. It’s similarity to my beloved Metroid is probably only aesthetic, but it still looks pretty cool.

SeanNOLA’s Pick: The Monster Hunter games have always eluded me: they are so close to
Phantasy Star Online, and yet the solitary play style I associate with
the PSP has always kept me from playing for very long.  Hopefully, the
changes promised in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite will spark that
passion I have seen in so many 100+ hour Monster Hunter veterans.

Robert Allen

Since being a toddler, Robert Allen has been immersed in video games, anime, and tokusatsu. Currently, his days are spent teaching at two southern California colleges. But his evenings and weekends are filled with STGs, RPGs, and action titles and well at writing for Tech-Gaming since 2007.

  1. Overlord has puzzles and action. You should have picked that one.

I’ll be grabbing that one for sure.

  2. Wow, a lot of great games coming out this week. Conduit could the be mine if the metacritic/tech-gaming scores are good.

  3. The big question is Autobots or Decepticons for DS. Why couldn’t they include both?!?!

  4. Overlord 2. The first one got overlooked for sure. I played through it twice and am working on a third.

  5. Well, I didn’t pick Fashion Week Designer Jr. did I?

Had the publisher removes the superfluous suffix, I might have picked it 😉

  6. Relax- they’re likely playing games with Dad. Which is the way this day should be spent 😉

  7. There’s actually a few good games to choose from this week. If I see a deal on Dawn of Discovery, I’ll bring it home.

  8. Ok, now all three have their picks.

I’ll go with Overlord, once the price hits $30 or so.

  9. I’m curious as to how the Pangya: Fantasy Golf series will be on PSP. Anyone know what kind of swing system it has?
