New Releases 7/19-7/25: The Gambler’s Edition
PS3 owners face a tricky proposition this week. Should they purchase the standalone Blu-ray of Watchmen, or The Complete Experience which includes the high-def version of the film along with the two episodes of the End is Nigh beat ’em up? Those seeking inspiration for this dilemma need look no further than the words of a Rock Band Country track, “Know when to walk away, and know when to run.” Yep, Kenny Rogers song is like a Magic 8-Ball, always ready to help the indecisive.

Sins of a Solar Empire Game Of the Year Edition
DesertEagle’s Pick: Don’t overlook the single glimmer of hope in an otherwise forlorn week of reissues, add-ons, and movie-tie ins. Little King’s Story blends life-simulation, real-time strategy, and adventure elements into a innovative diversion. Let’s just hope the title’s pathfinding isn’t as trying as early reports indicate.
TideGear’s Pick: Another easy pick this week! While Sins of a Solar Empire Game Of the Year Edition definitely grabs my interest, I’ve been looking forward to Little King’s Story ever since it was announced. It took them a while to finally get it to us, but I’m hoping the delay was used to bring us a better quality game!
SeanNOLA’s Pick: Imagine my dismay when I found out that the G-Force game had nothing to
do with Tatsunoko’s Battle of the Planets. Barring a game starring
hamsters with guns, my pick of the week will be Rock Band Country Track
Pack. I’ve never been a plastic guitar enthusiast, but I have belted
out Big & Rich and Dierks Bently in the middle of a dingy bar in
Berlin. This seems like a less painful alternative.
For those interested in the Rock Band Country Pack Songlist:
* Alan Jackson – “Good Time” *
* Brad Paisley – “Mud on the Tires”
* Brooks & Dunn – “Hillbilly Deluxe”
* Cross Canadian Ragweed – “Cry Lonely” *
* Dierks Bentley – “Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)”
* Dixie Chicks – “Sin Wagon”
* Drive-By Truckers – “3 Dimes Down”
* Jason Aldean – “She’s Country” *
* Keith Urban – “I Told You So” *
* Kenny Chesney – “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy” *
* Kenny Rogers – “The Gambler”*
* Lucinda Williams – “Can’t Let Go”
* Martina McBride – “This One’s For The Girls”*
* Miranda Lambert – “Gunpowder & Lead”
* Montgomery Gentry – “Gone”*
* Rascal Flatts – “Me and My Gang”*
* Sara Evans – “Suds In The Bucket”*
* Shania Twain – “Any Man of Mine”*
* Steve Earle – “Satellite Radio”
* Trace Adkins – “Swing”*
* Willie Nelson – “On the Road Again”*
Nothing at all this week.
Never heard of Little King’s Story. Sounds cool.
Noting for me. What is G-force?
How is Country music “ROCK”?!?!
The end of good game releases is nigh.
Space hamsters or some shit. Aren’t you glad you know?
How hard is it to re-release those PSP games? They have been on the NR list for weeks now.
Little King? Is he short like Napoleon?
July be over, so good releases can come our way.
Nothing but garbage this week.
I might try Little King, is the price is <50.
Saving my money. Sad week.
Wow. Worst week ever.
My DS is getting desperate for a new good game!
Sins might be worth a go.
Thanks brother!
Pathetic week! I hope things will get better.
You guys should post game sales, too. Or where to get the new releases at the best prices.
Little King’s Story is a definite maybe.
Which game is the background pick from?
I’m waiting for Wii Sports Resort.
Yee-haw, and no thanks!
No Nola pick?
They are gerbils.
Youtube that German cowboy music, Nola!
I think he’s young.
I hear explosion man is coming out this week on XBLA.
No Little King’s anywhere close to 20 miles of me.
I was almost forced to buy G-Force yesterday. Close call.
