New Releases 9/5-9/11: Preemptive Move Edition
After a lean but steady diet of new retail and downloadable titles across the last weeks, gamers should prepare themselves for a buffet of interactive abundance. Not only will players be able to get their hands on a number a high profile releases- from the latest iterations in the H.A.W.X., NHL, and Kingdom Hearts franchises, they’ll also be able to get their hands on Playstation Move software a week before the actual hardware is available.

DesertEagle’s Pick: Over the years, I’ve rarely missed an iteration in two dependable franchises: Electronic Arts’ NHL series and entries within Ubisoft’s sweeping Tom Clancy universe. Both NHL 11 and H.A.W.X. 2 looks to satisfy my unrelenting urge for shooting pucks and planes and maintaining a strong defense.
SeanNOLA’s Pick: The comic book nerd in me took an immediate interest in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. The last half-dozen Spider-Man games have all fallen somewhere betweenbland and meh, but seeing Spidey 2099 as a playable character for thefirst time since the ill-fated Marvel 2099: One Nation Under Doom has me excited enough to give the license another chance.
TideGear’s Pick: I’m not typically one for superhero games, but I’ve always wanted a near-perfect Spider-Man game, and I’m not sure such a game exists. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is my pick, but I hope the developer’s focus upon a variety of Spider-Men doesn’t leave the gameplay lacking. As an Ace Combat fan, Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2 piques my interest, but Ace Combat is already releasing regular iterations. Can we get some innovation?
snaps- where did all these games come from?!?
the poor guy who buys move software this weekend. Surrounded by games you cant play.
Plants. Vs. Zombies, baby. It starts again.
classic desert pic this week.
Kingdom Hearts: BbS for me.
Why sound Sony do that? I dont get it?
R.U.S.E. for PC.
Is UBI is getting paid per period- R.U.S.E and H.A.W.X????
I didn’t know that Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions was coming out this week.
Deagle’s going crazy with the jet fighters all of a sudden.
Please developer- no more dance games. I’m sick of them.
101-in-1 Sports Megamix
Are there even 101 sports? Is underwater basket weaving in the megamix?
Batman and Spider-man in the same week? wow.
I know I’ll break down and get Sports Champions with the Move.
Plants. Vs. Zombies sounds good!
You didn’t hear? They changed their name to U.B.I.S.O.F.T
The video looked kind of cool, but I’m thinking that the last really good spider-man game was a while back.
Dawn of Heroes didn’t come out a while ago? I could have sworn I saw it…
I’m saving my points for Sonic Adventure next week.
hopefully NHL 11 has enough new content to make it worth $60 for me.
so whats the best Move game so far?
Midget tossing?
where’s the Hulk?
no interest in any of those Move games. They seems like they are for casuals.
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep for me.
there’s alot of games, but none I really have to have.
NHL is one of the best sports games out there hands down.
no ones getting H.A.W.X. 2? The demo was pretty good.
are you going to review Birth by Sleep deagle?
I’ll be getting Birth, and Spider-Man.
Maybe RUSE and HAWX once the price drops.
I never liked them to start. DDR never interested me.
I’ll have to download the HAWX 2 demo- never got around to it.
thats not an in-game shot is it?
I may bite on Ruse.
Wheres the other two guys pick of the week?
No DSiWare/Wiiware?
UFC Undisputed 2010, if I can get it for under $20…
I would put the odds at 95% until I looked for a VC2 review.
I found a $5 coupon for Batman: The Brave and the Bold in my happy meal. Maybe…
oh, man the move stuff looks pretty weak to me.
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions might be worth a look.
SeanNOLA and TideGear were last seen in Cancun surrounded by hundreds on bikini-wearing women and saying “Here’s your pick of the week right here. Two more Dr. Peppers por favor”
dudes, tomorrow K-mart will have Ruse and Hawx 2 for $44.99 a piece. Ill get getting both.
I might try NHL 11.
HAWX 2 may get my $49.99.
some decent games this week. I’ll see how the RUSE reviews go.
Shacknews says the new Profesor Layton is coming out this week. Better update your info!
That’s on the 13th- Next week!
Maybe I’ll get Hawx2…
I wish I had a few bucks to buy some of these games.
Ha, and Deagle is back playing games for review?
thanks for the info. Nice site. I’ll probably get KH:BBS.
nothing on PSN this week?
I’ll still debating on the Move. ..
I cant belive they are still making Sims games. The series must have made 50 million dollars by now.
Dawn of Heroes looks cool!
I’m with NOLA, hopefully this Spider-man game will be good.
because of the holiday, are these coming out Wednesday or Thurday?
I have RUSE preordered.
My KH was supposed to arrive today according to amazon. They like to lie a lot though.
NHL 11 in stores today. Just got mine.
Adam, you mean “piques”, right?
Def: To cause a feeling of interest or curiosity.
Peak is the point of maximum value.
Ace Combat> HAWX
Why even mess with the UBi series.
So TideGear is picking HAWX 2 or just ragging on it?!?
he is picking it and picking on it.
and I’m picking it up!
