DesertEagle’s Pick
: Over the years, I’ve rarely missed an iteration in two dependable franchises: Electronic Arts’ NHL series and entries within Ubisoft’s sweeping Tom Clancy universe. Both NHL 11 and H.A.W.X. 2 looks to satisfy my unrelenting urge for shooting pucks and planes and maintaining a strong defense.

SeanNOLA’s Pick: The comic book nerd in me took an immediate interest in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. The last half-dozen Spider-Man games have all fallen somewhere betweenbland and meh, but seeing Spidey 2099 as a playable character for thefirst time since the ill-fated Marvel 2099: One Nation Under Doom has me excited enough to give the license another chance.

TideGear’s Pick: I’m not typically one for superhero games, but I’ve always wanted a near-perfect Spider-Man game, and I’m not sure such a game exists. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is my pick, but I hope the developer’s focus upon a variety of Spider-Men doesn’t leave the gameplay lacking. As an Ace Combat fan, Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2 piques my interest, but Ace Combat is already releasing regular iterations. Can we get some innovation?

  1. 101-in-1 Sports Megamix

Are there even 101 sports? Is underwater basket weaving in the megamix?

  2. The video looked kind of cool, but I’m thinking that the last really good spider-man game was a while back.

  3. SeanNOLA and TideGear were last seen in Cancun surrounded by hundreds on bikini-wearing women and saying “Here’s your pick of the week right here. Two more Dr. Peppers por favor”

  4. I cant belive they are still making Sims games. The series must have made 50 million dollars by now.

  5. Adam, you mean “piques”, right?

Def: To cause a feeling of interest or curiosity.

Peak is the point of maximum value.
