  1. Downloading now! It’s been three weeks which is way too long to wait for a new show.

    1. I have to agree, Doug. The schedules have been kind of weird. We’re glad you stuck around for the new one! 🙂

        1. Why can’t I navigate through the reviews and show with my Move control? Where are the damn trophies?

  2. The Kinect people look possessed or something. Like demons are lifting them off the ground.

Seeing that I don’t think I ever want one. And that looks like it’s from E3…

    1. Exercising in jeans is horribly aggravating.

Sage I just want to say that you’re missed this week. I hope you return soon.

      1. Yes, moar Sage. Much moar Sage.

And what is the official word on NOLA. Did he get let go after he sold his Vita or what?

        1. W1SH and AntiGert, thanks so much for the love!! Im so sad I missed this one, I would have loved a chance to voice my disdain for the kinect, lol

      2. That shot looked faked. Or maybe my Kinect is broken.

There’s no way Kinetc recognizes someone that close. Mine keeps telling me to back up…back up. It wants me on my neighbors property.

      1. Ok, besides “erectile dysfunction” what’s the other one?

        (snatches head)

  3. I thought I was listening to Weekend Confirmed with the ad at the start of the show.

I’m just a little sad you guys have gone corporate.

    1. I don’t know if its being ‘corporate’ as much as it is following Garnett Lee’s “Listen to my radio voice” footsteps.

  4. Thanks for including the times of each part of the show. Now I can get my trivia fix right away.

    Edit: Punch-Out!! Yes!

  5. OMFG OMFG!

I won a Super House of Dead Ninjas code. Thank you guys so much! Subscriber for life here!

  6. I do miss my man, Sean NOLA and a podcast without Sage misses something as well.

Do I do love Indie Outlook. Robert and Sai are great together. I love they way she griefs him. I think more F-bombs were dropped in that segment that the rest of the show.

BTW: Sai where are you from?

    1. I think its spelled “Say”.

I heard Blue call rhyme it with “hay” three times and Jeremy once at the end of the show.

That means everyone getting killed off except Desert.

      1. Oh, say can you see by 40K Dawn of War’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the Twilight Princess,

Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous Fighting Vipers,

O’er the Rampart we played while VG Wrestling was YouTubestreaming?

  7. Not even two hours this week? No interview.

I don’t mean to sound entitled, but not quite up to your usual standards.

  8. Ok, pretty interested in Volgarr The Viking. I would have helped Kickstart that one had I known about it.

Also Maldita Castilla for free is amazing. Best deal of the year.

    1. Both games are amazing arcade options, I do admit that Volgar is much more complicated and brings more options than push jump/attack. I loved it and I look forward for more Crazy Viking Studios stuff 🙂

  9. Good one this week. Jeremy had the radio voice!

really liking Indie Outlook. That and trivia are the best parts of the show. Listener mail is probably the weakest. Maybe after two hours your energy drops.

    1. Hah, you know what’s funny? We were talking about it pre-show, and I was just getting over a little head cold. So there you have it. Get ill before you record.

  10. Great show! I loved hearing about Robert’s time with the LPGA and Indie Outlook was great as well.

Sound quality was better this week.

  11. Thanks so much for the contest. Now I am playing Super House of Dead Ninjas and seeing what Ive been missing. This game is godly. Truly addictive.

    1. Congratulations DemonCrest, Enjoy! And I remember first time I tried it I had in mind “Just for a bit, I’ve got lots to do” yeah… 3 hours later and all that 😛

  12. I wan the Sage and NOLA DLC pack. Here, take my 800 MS points and add them to the show.

      1. That’s so Blue.

Which is the spiritual sequel to That’s So Raven except instead of psychic predictions, the star sees event acted out as Sailor Moon or pre-match WWE arguments.

        1. This idea, I likez it!

That sounds a bit like a day-in-the-life mockumentary I did about myself several years ago when I got bored with a camera one day.

    1. Game looks awesome! You should do an interview since there wasn’t one this week…

          1. Awww..

Maybe a written interview. I’m sorry to admit I haven’t heard of Volgarr until now. Now, I’m waiting for launch. Videos look awesome. I’m so glad people still make the type of games I want to play.

      1. Make it happen, Say! Also make sure Robert keeps it interesting with lots of innuendo.

          1. Just a suggestion, but I’d love to see a twitter account by a 16-bit Viking.

            Ideas:

“Sure, Erik, Baleog, and Olaf get all the attention, even through they have like a single brain between them”

“Thought about buying a new shield today. Keeper wanted 5 pieces of silver so I beat him over the head and took it for myself”

“Is it me or is today’s mead for girly-men”?

  13. So the guy who is always complaining about MS’s ads on the 360 dash has an ad on the show? Isn’t that a bit hypocritical?

On the positive, sound quality is improved.

  14. Favorite soundbites “You’ve got something Volgarr to say?” and and “you were trying to explain and I got bored”… Indie Outlook FTW!

Sound glitch during the giveaway, though.

      1. Did I hear Terreria music during Jeremy’s section? That was a nice little melody.

      2. HAHA, I love that Desert is everyone’s whipping boy. And the guy just takes it.

  15. I had a little bait of a hard time understand the girl during the Indie Outlook section. “Mora”? It seemed Robert didn’t understand her either.

Other that that I like hearing about indie games. And as others have said, interviews are a good thing.

    1. Sorry Theo, I try my best to hide my dumbass accent but I kind of fail :/ I did try to talk about ‘Maldita Castilla’ a game developed by Locomalito, and I mentioned the story goes on about a demon that seduces a moura to put a curse on the Kingdom of Castile, so the king sends out 4 knights to do the job. A Moura is some sort of a young witch in Galician mythology. Locomalito is a very talented Spaniard developer 🙂

      1. “A demon that seduces a moura to put a curse on the Kingdom of Castile, so the king sends out 4 knights to do the job. A Moura is some sort of a young witch in Galician mythology. ”

It’s not you, it’s that crazy storyline. XD

  16. Buying Terraria as we speak, thanks for being my drug dealer of choice, Jeremy.

Also, I hear if you bug Robert you can get a Volgarr code.

  17. Not quite as funny as some of your other shows, but still above average. Robert, I’m going to hold you to a crazy sim game.

  18. I wouldn’t mind getting a Volgarr code, if you have any extras ones.

  19. Ok question for next show.

There’s already reports of the PS4 and Next Xbox not being as good as top end PCs. Now considering all the always online and lack of BC (or being forced to pay for it) are consoles digging themselves into a rut?

Ive never seen so much of a backlash before. People have always been excited for console, but this next gen seems to have people angry. Your thoughts?

Personally, I am going to sit out for a few months. I like being able to play my games on Steam and not worrying about losing my purchases like I will on PSN or XBL once my system craps out.

    1. Not just backlash, but pre-emptive backlash about something that either will or won’t turn out to be true. Bizarre.

      But, sigh, not unexpected?

      1. Hey, Kotaku wrote it, so there’s at least a 2% chance there’s a bit of truth in it.

      2. Whether or not there’s always online, I think the point stands- PCs are outpacing consoles. No way will the next gen be cutting edge for long.

Also, BC is a big deal to many of us. That’s not been much of a problem for PC owners. While consoles they resell you the rights to replay your games. So backlash is understood.

Think about all the layouts, shutdowns, and closures. Do you really think the industry is doing the best they can and catering to consumers?

        1. Considering ‘Sweet Billy’s’ comments, Microsoft’s lack of denial and Kotaku rumors, this one seems 99.9% certain.

Giving people features that no one asked for, that’s the game industry for you.

        2. Actually there’s a lot of tech people who are saying the PC will be head in a decade replaced by phones, tablets and those kinds of devices.

          1. Here’s the thing. Companies fear short term internet rage, but they know long term, you guys forget.

Case(s) in point: Backward compatibility for the Xbox 360. when MS stopped adding more games people were vocal, but in a few months, thinks quieted down. By the time they offered Xbox 1 games for download, no one cared.

Remember all the fuss over digital distribution? “I want my covers, cases, and booklets!”. Know one really cares. Its a natural part of the system now. Even DD-only games are commonplace.

Same thing for always on internet. MS isn’t dumb, they know you’ll be mad for a few months, but you’ll bend over time. Publishing partners are the ones ecstatic over this. Killing pirated copies and used games in one swoop? They love it. And that give MS and advantage over Sony with publishers, which means exclusive deals and more content. As a consumer, I don’t like the idea, but as a developer it makes a hell of a lot of sense.

  20. So Ouya is starting to trickle out. Reviews on Verge and Engadget ripped it a new one. As a backer, my enthusiasm is almost gone.

Not only is the UI bad, but the promised new selection of games? Well, it’s mainly mobile apps. I should have known.

Anyway, will you reviewing it? Do you think these disappoints will negatively affect kickstarter. The whole guilt by association thing and going by a company’s pitch rather than an independent reviewer?

  21. I used to think that growing up, getting married and having kids was what was going to make me stop gaming. Sadly thing is,, it’s none of those. Its the industry pushing me away.

Look at the two posts above me about next gen consoles and Ouya. Its the way things are going. And I really don’t like it. I look at previous generations and I had more fun before DLC, pre-order bonus, gimmicks and $140 collectors editions. Now the industry is just about hollow hype trying to make a quick buck.

I may still game but only because of the the indies. Corporations are slowly killing the thing that I once loved most.

    1. Thanks, Krisofor.

It teams like yours that are the thing that is keeping me gaming. If was up to Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft, I would have jumped ship already.

Volgarr The Viking looks great and I can’t wait to play it.

  22. Ok, I like Say as a new cohost and I think Indie Outlook is good.

But…I see a slight conflict of interest. Working for Phoenix, she’s going to naturally plug their games. Last weeks giveaway of Cognition is evidence of that. She works for other indie studios, so I cant help but feel that she’s on the show to sell, not give bias-free info.

    1. I can see why you’d be confused and I apologize for any misunderstanding, however, let me clear any doubt: I work as a consultant for Phoenix – I don’t get paid for Sales or PR, I assist with marketing logistics and consulting on project management. Also, I did assist J.U.L.I.A. Enhanced Edition IndieGogo from start to end and I do not foresee any profits from it, they need every single penny they can count. I support indies and I’m not ashamed of it, I will continue to support as I can.

About the rest: I met MegaDev and Crazy Viking Studios through Robert because of the show, and I will forever love them. They are THE BEST. Last, Locomalito games are freeware and neither Robert or myself are friends with him.

Finally, if you must know, I come from a heavy corporate background, I most certainly did not join back indie world for the money – indies are hurting for money as it is: licenses are expensive, they have got families and they spent so much time working on their games: they’ve got barely time to do development as to have to have time to learn business or marketing, reason why I help them to begin with. It is every indie’s dream to have their studio and become self sustained.

Does that seriously make me such a horrible person?

      1. I like the new segment of the show and think what you’re doing- giving smaller developers a bit of publicity is great.

        Keep us the great work.

      2. “I met MegaDev and Crazy Viking Studios through Robert” So there’s the PrinnyPope with the moneyhat.
