Podcast 4-8: Bring the Bertha

The week the Tech-Gaming Podcast welcomes Mel Kirk of Zen Studios to discuss Pinball FX 2, the new pinball platform headed to the Xbox 360. SeanNOLA and DesertEagle present impressions of Z.H.P.: Unlosing Ranger Vs. Darkdeath Evilman, Phantasy Star Portable 2, the Stronghold Island DLC for Planet Minigolf as well as succumb to the sadistic ways of Mega Man 10. Along with our distinctive dose of gaming trivia, and mailbag questions, we are also offering an added bonus: post a comment in the show tread to win a copy of both Planet Minigolf along with its medieval-themed new content.

Don’t forget to send your questions for our next mailbag, and subscribe to the Tech-Gaming Podcast on iTunes. Leaving a review would be an cool thing to do; and keep us from begging for feedback every show.

  1. I hope Pinball FX is better than the first game. It was ok, but not nearly as good as the Williams Collection

  2. He’s been drinking the NIS/Atlus Kool-Aid for years now. I’m surprised they don’t name a random Prinny after him for their next game.

  3. nice art. thats a blast from the past.

I’m glad to see Tech-Gaming is keeping pinball alive. Even if it doesn’t against your name.

  4. I’m technically renting Planet Minigolf with PSN+ but I’d love to keep it for free with some DLC one the side. Thanks for the contest and the podcast!

  5. I happen to like the shorter shows. that three hour marathon a few week back was too too much for me.

  6. Everyone else is still talking up Halo Reach and you bring the Z.H.P.: Unlosing Ranger Vs. Darkdeath Evilman on. I love it!

  7. NOLA, I have a economist friend who wrote a dissertation on Planet Calypso. He says that at the simplest economists study how society distributes resources, labor, raw materials, land, and machinery, to produce goods and services. So I wouldn’t call Deagle’s answer wrong at all. Money is the most typical element of exchange in MMO, games, and in life.

  8. They are both right. Economics majors study wants, scarcity, and choices. Often the focus of scarity is money and time- things about the things you fight about with your gf/bf…

  9. For those unwilling to click on it, its a shot of the pinbot table. I do the dirty work for you.

  10. Yep, I could only play on easy. If SeanNOLA beat that game on Normal or higher, he’s my new role model.

  11. There’s a Bertha in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. No idea about the snails. You weren’t playing with actual snail in the backyard, where you NOLA?

  12. Sadistic Megaman 10? I got Mr.Perfect in that game my friend, if this is harder I’ll have at it :D. Thanks for the contest

  13. Not a bad show! I have pinball fx on the 360 and it’s pretty good. It could have come with more tables though. Here’s hoping the 2nd will be just as good if not better!

  14. Wow that was short. Little longer please, maybe 50% longer. Great show though and get guests.

Please add me to the contest!

  15. I tried that Titan Attacks game you have on ad, it’s not bad. It’s like a Bit.trip Space Invaders game. Congrats on hooking up with them.

  16. Count me in for a shot at Mini Golf on the PS3!

Just like many others I am also looking for a good review of Phantasy Star!
