Podcast 6-1: Remorseful Bad Dudes

This week, reformed rabble-rousers DesertEagle and SeanNOLA offer impressions of Two Worlds II, Dead Space 2, and Fluidity. Additionally, the duo discusses Front Mission Evolved‘s abrupt jumps from enjoyable action game to single-hit stress inducer. In addition to our indispensable trivia and mailbag segments, we also chat with Ryan and Nick from NIS America about Hyperdimension Neptunia, Ar Tonelico Qoga, and just how damn primal Altered Beast really was.

Don’t forget to send your questions for our next mailbag, and subscribe to the Tech-Gaming Podcast on iTunes. Leaving a review would be an cool thing to do; and keep us from begging for feedback every show. Listeners who enjoyed this week’s game-inspired songs can find more music by Duane and BrandO here.

  1. Someone made fun of your username NOLA?

BTW- Apology accepted, you’re a fine Southern gentleman NOLA.

  2. Wait you guys both have masters degrees?!? I guess I should have known from your writing.

  3. “Super Kawaii” Why did that make NOLA grown?

Sounds like a good lineup of games for this week’s show.

  4. NOLA hates the term. All I have to say is “That chibi is so kawaii” and it’s like nails on a chalkboard for him.

I need to end all my VM’s to him with that particular sign off.

  5. Bring on the Hyperdimension Neptunia talk, suckers!

Thanks, guys. Is the the second or third time NISA has been on the show? They are the Alec Baldwins of Tech-Gaming.

  6. Hearing about Deagle buying a DReamcast, BangaiO and a random farming sim just made my day. What a nut.

  7. people who talk about “spatial design” in games are cool. I just hope the pay off all their student loans.

  8. Ok, you’ve finally convinced me to buy Front Mission and now it’s $49.99 at Gamestop.

  9. Man, Deagle loves some him NIS. I bet if they named a D4 character after him, he could die happy.

  10. Yep, the deal is I write the trivia and conduct the interviews if NOLA does all the heavy lifting and edits the show.

  11. The funniest part of the show was NOLA talking about sleeping in a box, because Deagle convinced him to buy a game. Great stuff.

  12. Wasn’t the game Sly Cooper or something? How was it $50 bucks tops?

A Desert gets a “farming game”? Doesn’t he have like 50 or those already.

  13. Yep, someone needs to keep NOLA and Deagle from clawing out each other’s eyes, although they were well-mannered this week.

  14. Sean, starting the show off by apologizing took major guts. It’s never easy to say “I’m sorry”, especially publicly, but you did it and I appreciate it. Even though I really wasn’t that upset with you, thank you. Respect for SeanNOLA: LEVEL UP!

  15. Haha, I love Bad Dudes. I’ve seen a million reviews and posts making fun of the game and it never gets old. I love games like this and am glad that so many of them exist.
