The Tech-Gaming Podcast, World 3-8

With SeanNOLA at either a cartographer’s convention or LARPing his way through a Monster Hunt (depending on which explanation you believe), the trusted team of TideGear and DesertEagle valiantly venture forth. The duo’s first stop is boot camp- where they receive Arma 2: Combined Operations‘ air and infantry based combat training, as well as get some range time with Sniper: Ghost Warrior. Later, we return to the mess hall for a helping of trivia and round out the day by opening the mail bag.

Additionally, Felix and Damjan from Wicked Smiles Studios join us to discuss their Xbox Indie title, Adrift . Don’t forget to send your questions for our next mailbag, and subscribe to the Tech-Gaming Podcast on iTunes. Leaving a review would be an awesome thing to do, also.

Robert Allen

Since being a toddler, Robert Allen has been immersed in video games, anime, and tokusatsu. Currently, his days are spent teaching at two southern California colleges. But his evenings and weekends are filled with STGs, RPGs, and action titles and well at writing for Tech-Gaming since 2007.

  1. NOLA you look fabulous! You guys should have a 800 number where people can leave clues.

  2. The ‘cast isn’t streaming fast enough. Desert’s impression was pretty funny.

  3. Jesus, NOLA get a purse that plays off your watch. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?

    Great show so far.

  4. Just downloaded Adrift. Can your boat even kill the enemy boats?

Also, the voice acting is recorded pretty badly. Lots of clipping.

  5. Red Faction Guerrilla should be in the show notes too. I can’t wait for the sequel.

  6. Every show should have a developer interview. Thats my request.

You guys are good interviewers BTW.

  7. I have no interest in Arma 2 from all the military talk. Stick with the JRPG’s Deagle.

  8. I usually like at least a 3 or 4 person roundtable, but Tide and Deagle held their own this week.

Is Deagle the only one who hasn’t missed a podcast?

  9. The guys from Wicked Smile seem determined. Heading over to my 360 to check their game out.

  10. Best of luck to the Wicked Smiles guys! It’s not easy being a Indie dev- I’ve been struggling for three years, now.

  11. Yeah, the military games get old really quick. I like when you branch out to other things.
